ASPI is a member of the National Engineering Consultancy which is Society of Azerbaijan (NECSA) member of International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) and the Federation
of Consultants from Islamic Countries (FCIC). Membership on these professional
organizations has allowed ASPI to participate in international bidding and has
been instrumental in reinforcing our company's global
status.
Domestically, one of our most defining moments occurred in 1997
when the government of Azerbaijan awarded ASPI the EPC/Turnkey contract to
design and build the entire life-support infrastructure in the regions of
Azerbaijan that were damaged during the Karabakh war with Armenia. The project
was successfully completed in January 1999. Based upon our reputation for
excellence in engineering consultancy services, the Ministry of Economic
Development of Azerbaijan secured ASPI's consulting services in the
privatization of Baku Electricity Company, Azerbaijan Tube Rolling and Steel
Works, as well as nine small hydroelectric power plants. Completed in 2001 -
2003, these projects saved the government of Azerbaijan $349
million.
Today, ASPI is the leading engineering company in the former
Soviet republics. It has carried out more than 80 projects in more than a dozen
countries around the world. As of January 2007, the company has successfully
implemented 28 ETC/Turnkey projects worth US$10.6 M. Altogether the company
participated in international projects worth more than $50 million. |
